- Dragonica: Monster defense system rework.We have reworked the monster defense system, as it had never been adjusted to match the current gameplay and character stats.
Until now, monsters had very low defense, designed around the gameplay of 2010, but it no longer reflected the current high damage and stat values.
Now monster defense truly feels like defense.Monsters below level 20 have no defense.Three new stats have been added: - Critical damage reduction for bosses.Now all bosses have a 20% chance to reduce the player’s critical damage by ~30%. - Defense penetration and critical defense penetration for monsters and bosses.Now all players have a base 5% chance to penetrate normal and critical monster defense. This means that when attacking a monster, you have a 5% chance to completely ignore the monster’s or boss’s defense, and the damage will be dealt in full. Critical defense penetration works the same way: in that case, critical damage will be dealt in full despite the monster’s defense. These stats cannot be obtained separately; they are available by default to all characters, as well as on Legion weapons. In the future, they will only be added to new classes.Nothing has changed in PvP and F6/F7 defense modes; defense works the same way as before.
