Visual bug on pet?

I just bought this pet and noticed this effect above him, is it a bug?



Edit: The pet also doesn't recieve any exp, is that a bug also?

Sorry for the double post, but I found one more bug.
The pet seems to dissapear randomly when using Ride skill.
